Twenty-four year old Jewan Ethan Ramkissoon is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate on Wednesday, charged with the murders of retired police Corporal Kenneth Mackhan and his wife Lillawati Mackhan.

The couple was found murdered at their home at Welcome Road in Cunupia on May 18th, with the man’s body stuffed in a barrel and his wife in a suitcase.

Ramkissoon was charged with the grisly crime on Tuesday, one week after his arrest, following advice from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore Paul.

Corporal Smith of the Homicide Bureau, Region III laid the charges.
