$3M Ransom Made For Kidnapped Businessman

Officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit are continuing investigations following the kidnapping of Central businessman Suvesh Ramnarine who was taken by men posing by police on Saturday night. 

Ramnarine, who owns Cosura Trading located in Warrenville, was abducted by five men as he sat inside Rob’s Bar in Cunupia at around 7:20pm.

Ramnarine’s Toyota Prado was found abandoned in the Cunupia area on Sunday. The vehicle was recovered along Chin Chin Road. 

A ransom of $3 million dollars was made for his return. Ramnarine is the third central businessman to be abducted in the past four months.

The incident also comes days after two bonafide officers appeared in court on Friday, charged with the kidnapping and murder of used car dealer Sachel Kungebeharry.
