By Newsroom

The 70 Trinidad and Tobago nationals who were unable to return home before this country closed its borders at midnight on March 22nd, finally arrived on home soil on Friday morning.

The group landed at the Piarco International Airport at around 10:30 am and was immediately transported via a convoy to the University of the West Indies Debe Campus, where they will remain quarantined for the stipulated 14 day period.

Following their return,  attorney Gerald Ramdeen, who petitioned on behalf of the group, expressed relief, describing the process to get them home as frustrating.
