Police received intelligence of illegal activities in the Cocorite area, and detained eight people during an early morning police operation on Friday.

Officers of the Western Division Task Force, the Court and Process Unit, the Special Operations Response Team, the Joint Army Patrol Unit, and the Canine Unit, among others, conducted the sweep between 2-8am.

After stopping and searching several people, 8 persons suspected to be linked to criminal activities in the area, were taken into police custody for further inquiries.
