Police Have Located “Private” Beach-Goer, Seize Phone And Laptop At Her Home

By Newsroom

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has located a beach-goer who caught the attention of law enforcement and the general public after posting a video boasting about what she referred to as her “private” beach.

Officers executed a search warrant at the woman’s Santa Margarita Home in St. Augustine yesterday afternoon around 5:15pm, and seized an iPhone and HP laptop in connection with their investigations.

The public is reminded that ALL beaches are off limits in accordance with the COVID-19 regulations, and the TTPS reminds that according to law, no beach is “private” property, but belongs to the State.

Yesterday, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh chastised the woman’s actions, urging her to “stop worshipping on the altar of denial”. He lamented that persons breaching the regulations largely stymies the Health Ministry’s ability to get a handle on the virus.
