The Caribbean Examinations Council has agreed to waive 50% of its query fee for students wishing to query their 2020 examination grades.
The review has been reduced to $15 USD.
It’s a halfway compromise after Education Ministers across the region called for a total waiver of all fees for querying grades.
As it stands, a total of 2,352 CSEC students in Trinidad and Tobago have made requests for reviews and 3,325 for CAPE.
CXC has so far committed to remarking reviewed scripts as opposed to simply re-tallying.
The examination body has also removed the possibility of a grade being lowered after query.
