Cops Destroy $350,000 Worth of Marijuana In Grand Riviere

Seven hundred fully grown marijuana trees, with an estimated value of $350,000 was destroyed by police during an eradication exercise in Grand Riviere on Monday.

Between the hours of 11 am and 3 pm, based on information received, officers of the Matelot Police post, proceeded 30 metres off the Paria Main Road in the vicinity of Grand Riviere.

The officers came upon a wooden makeshift camp. There, officers conducted a search and discovered the  marijuana trees.

The trees were then compiled and destroyed.

The exercise was coordinated by Senior Supt Aguilal and supervised by Sgt Scipio and Ag Sgt Fredrick. No one was arrested.
