As government has been given the green light to extend the State of Emergency until November after a Motion to do so was passed by a simple majority in the Parliament on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley says the current curfew hours will remain the same. 

Dr. Rowley addressed the issue while speaking at Saturday’s Covid-19 media briefing. 

“So for now, we will keep it. And as I said in the Parliament and as I said before at the first opportunity where we believe on the advice that we are getting and the date presented to us… we will bring the removal of the restrictions,” the Prime Minister said. 

“There’s a group of people who love and can’t wait to get to the beach, I may be one of them, I don’t know. But let us not demand that relief now and pay the price of a reinfection level that we can’t cope with,” the Prime Minister said.
