Restaurants Can Open At Full Capacity From November 1st, Among Other Relaxed Covid Restrictions

From the beginning of next month, restaurants will be able to welcome patrons at 100 capacity, as announced by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley on Saturday.

At restaurants and bars, vaccinated patrons will also be allowed to consume alcohol.

In addition, religious organisations will be permitted to have 90minue services- an extension to the current one hour time limit. 

The Public service will return to work at full capacity, to which the Prime Minister advised unvaccinated workers will be allowed to return to office without any vaccination mandate.

“Public servants, at the moment, are not being identified as a group for a (vaccination) mandate at this time. They are being treated as part of the larger population ,” Dr.  Rowley clarified.

Other relaxation announcements made by the Prime Minister on Saturday was a return to the Tobago airbridge operating at normal capacity.

Horse racing can also resume.

As it relates to the opening of beaches and the resumtpion of contact sports, the Prime Minister said: “We are not there yet”.
