Doubles vendor Yansil Seeram was shot and killed in the Piarco area in the early hours of this morning.

 The 34 year old, who lived in Carapichaima, was at the NP Express Service Station in Piarco where he reportedly bought a bag of ice, when a lone gunman approached his vehicle and shot him at close range.

 The suspect managed to escape on foot.

Police recovered five spent shells from the scene.
