After being crowned this year’s Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago last evening, Tya Jané Ramey says she is grateful to God, her mother and her community, for their belief in her craft which helped get her to this point.
As she accepted the title, Miss Arouca, who was the chosen winner over 23 other candidates, took to her social media pages, telling fans:“My country, my people, my home has worthwhile things to say and I intend on morphing into the microphone that echoes and magnifies our excellence”.
Ramey, who also took home the award as Miss Photogenic award, was crowned by former Miss Universe and one of the judges Wendy Fitzwilliam.
She will now begin the second leg of her journey- preparing to represent Trinidad and Tobago at the 71st Miss Universe pageant, carded to take place in the first quarter of 2023.
