According to the TTPS:
Officers of the Tobago Division conducted a search of a black Nissan Navara with two occupants while on mobile patrol along Henry Trace, Mt. Thomas, Golden Lane around 9:10 pm yesterday. They allegedly found a Ruger firearm with one magazine and nine rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition on the floor on the front passenger side of the vehicle during the search.
Both men were arrested and taken to the Moriah Police Station. Earlier, around 2:30 pm, officers received information of a man behaving in a suspicious manner at Courland, Black Rock.
However, despite making several checks, the man could not be located. The officers then proceeded to a bushy area where they searched a tank enclosure. There, they allegedly found a white leatherette pouch containing six rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition concealed in a PVC pipe lodged under some leaves between two black tanks.

An exercise was also conducted in the Western and Northern Divisions yesterday between 5 pm and 10:45 pm which involved the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Simeon Road, Sparrow Drive, Petit Valley. Officers allegedly found several items outlined in the warrant at the home related to a report of House Breaking and Larceny which occurred in Petit Valley on Saturday 20th May, 2023.
The home’s occupant was arrested. Investigations are continuing. Meanwhile, information received by officers of the North Central Division regarding stolen vehicles being stored led to an extensive surveillance exercise at a location on Golden Grove Road, Arouca. A search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed leading to the recovery of a grey Nissan Frontier reported stolen in Curepe on May 21st, 2023 and a blue Hyundai Elantra reported stolen in Mt.
