Woman Prisoner Charged With Murder

The TTPS has disclosed that a Belmont woman appeared before an Arima Magistrate, charged with the murder of Reagan Henderson Reece, who was last seen alive on June 22nd June 2023, in the Arouca district.

According to the TTPS, ALIMA REID, aka ‘Shorts’, a 25-year-old inmate of the Arouca Women’s Prison, was charged with the offence, after Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two officers, executed a warrant at the prison on Monday 21st, August 2023.

She later appeared before an Arima Magistrate on Tuesday 22nd August 2023. She had been previously charged with Conspiracy to Commit Murder on July 24th, 2023 and was reprimanded at the Arouca Prison.

On Sunday 23rd July, 2023, HBI Region Two officers discovered the body of Reagan Henderson, 45, of Arouca, in a bushy area at Palm Drive, Windy Hill.

Investigations into the matter were supervised by ASP Victor, Insp. John, and Sgt. Radhaykissoon all of HBI, Region Two. Reid was charged with murder by WPC Theroulde also of HBI Region Two, after further advice was received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Tuesday 8th August, 2023.
