By Newsroom

Trinidad and Tobago’s Under 20 Women Warriors have qualified for the quarter-finals of the  Concacaf Women’s Championships after defeating Puerto Rico  5-4 on Penalty kicks on Sunday afternoon.

The team is coached by Richard Hood (in photo).

The game was tied at 3-3 at the end of regulation time and extra time. But it was 19-year-old goalkeeper K’lil Keshawar who saved the game.  The Warriors scored all five of their penalty kicks and it was Peshawar who made a low save when Puerto Rico’s Paola Morales tried to send the ball into the net.

The game was played at the Estadio Panamericano in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.

Trinidad and Tobago will meet Concacaf giants Mexico in their quarter-final encounter at 6 pm on Wednesday at the  Estadio Olympic Felix Sanchez in Santo Domingo.
