Caught Stealing Liquor From a Bar

Two men  who used a hammer to break a glass window so they could steal a quantity of liquor from a bar were caught in the act at a bar located at the corner of Queen and Devenish Streets, Arima, around 10:45pm, on Sunday. Cops, who got a call that the robbery was in progress, said that on arrival at the scene they “observed a man standing outside the establishment with a black bag in his possession. A search was conducted resulting in officers finding a hammer inside the bag.” “Further checks of the premises resulted in another male suspect being found hiding inside the bar area. “A white bag containing a quantity of alcoholic beverages was also found in his possession. It is believed the men gained entrance to the premises by breaking a glass window,” the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said in a news Release. The men, a 45-year-old and a 40-year-old, both of Arima, were arrested.
