Cops Release Eight People After Failing To Secure Evidence For Charges

By Newsroom

Eight people who were arrested during an anti crime exercise in Cocorite last Friday have been released after officers could not find sufficient evidence to lay charges against them.

The eight were held and questioned about criminal activity in the area.

Police say investigations will continue and should new information surface, they will be re-arrested and charged.

Officers of the Western Division Task Force, the Court and Process Unit, the Joint Army Patrol Unit, and the Canine Unit, were involved in last Friday’s operation.
