Investigations are continuing into a stabbing incident on Saturday which claimed the life of one man. 

The body of 22 year old Shem Thomas was found at an apartment at Pashley Street, Laventille at around 2pm.

Residents in the area say roughly an hour before the incident, the man was seen arguing with a woman at a nearby grocery. 

Witnesses say the pair could still be heard arguing when they got back to their apartment, located a short distance from the grocery.

It is believed the female suspect stabbed Thomas before leaving the apartment.
