A quake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was registered in the South West close to Icacos, Cedros just after midnight. It was actually recorded at 12:24 PM, local time.

Its depth was just about 10 kilometres, according to the  Seismic Research Centre of the University of the West Indies.
