Veteran soca artiste Dexter ‘Blaxx’ Stewart has died after a short but serious battle with Covid-19.

The cultural icon had been hospitalized last October with respiratory problems, but managed to recover well enough to bring his one-of-a kind magic to a few of this year’s Carnival Safe Zone events, including right here at OJO World.

He spent the last week in ICU at the Arima Hospital.

His death was announced by his All Starz Family.
