The General Council of the Trinbago Unified Calypsonians Organization, TUCO, has appointed its Vice President Ainsley King to act as President, following the sudden passing of Brother Resistance, Lutalo Masimba, on Wednesday night.

The decision was made during an emergency meeting of TUCO’s General Council on Friday.

Mr. King called on members to unify during this difficult time and vows to take up the mantle in steering the organisation forward.

In the meeting, presided over by Mr. King, members reflected on the life and legacy of Mr. Masimba, observing a minute’s silence in the rapso pioneer’s honour.

Funeral arrangements were discussed which will be disseminated to the public after consultation with the family of the deceased.

“The General Council of TUCO takes this opportunity to thank the public and stakeholders who reached out to offer condolences and well-wishes. Mr. Lutalo Masimba will be dearly missed,” the organization said in a statement.
