The number of deaths related to COVID-19 now stands at 30, as the Ministry of Health reported in its morning update (September 4), that another patient has succumbed to the virus. 

The patient is an adult male. 

Meanwhile, 46 new cases have been reported, bringing the number of active cases to 1,293.

Seven patients have been discharged from hospital, having recovered from the virus. 

There are currently 100 patients in hospital; 13 are in the High Dependency Unit at the Couva Hospital and six in the Intensive Care Unit. 

Meanwhile, 1,142 patients are in home isolation under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical officer of Health (CMOH) offices.
