After being being forced to postpone this year’s CARIFESTA due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Antigua and Barbuda government has now taken the difficult decision of withdrawing from hosting the event in 2022. 

The decision came after consultation with CARICOM’s Secretariat, and observation of the epidemiological and economical trends as a result of the pandemic.

The festival, which takes place every two years, was due to be held in August 2022
