🌧Settled conditions appearing over southern Trinidad currently, however, most of the island is still cloudy with periodic light or moderate showers/rain occurring in some areas. In contrast, Tobago is cloudy/overcast with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorm activity⛈.
ℹ️Trinidad is expected to continue to improve gradually as the day progresses, while improvement is expected over Tobago during the afternoon. However, expect few lingering showery spells at times over both islands moving into tonight.
ℹ️At this time, the TTMS forecasts that conditions will likely deteriorate again during the predawn period, becoming cloudy with widespread intermittent showers/rain and isolated thunderstorms in a few areas.
These conditions are attributed to the presence of the ITCZ which remains active over the islands.
⚠️Gusty winds in excess of 50 km/h and street/flash flooding may accompany heavy showers or thunderstorms.
Adverse Weather Alert #1, Yellow Level is in effect.
