Two suspected bandits were killed in the Westmoorings area on Thursday morning, while a woman was also fatally shot during the exchange.

Details are still emerging, however police say initial reports indicate the men entered the yard of Nicole Moses at Cherry Crescent, Westmoorings at around 8am. 

A relative then withdrew their licensed firearm, opening fire on the two suspects.

Both men died at the scene, while Moses, who picked up a stray bullet, was rushed to the St James Medical Complex,

She died while undergoing emergency treatment.
