By Newsroom

Barbados’ government will institute a 24-hour curfew from tomorrow they continue to fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The decision came just as they had recently set new hours of business and restricted movement of citizens. As a consequence of the lock-down, all restaurants will be closed until midnight on April 14. Some shops like bakeries and bread depots will remain open. Barbados’ confirmed virus infections now stands at 46.

It is believed that the measure may have been taken because of panic buying as supermarket and gas station owners reportedly became overwhelmed.
