Fire officials have managed to quell a blaze which broke out at the NP Sea Lots gas station this afternoon. Acting Chief Fire Officer Marlon Smith says there have been no casualties or injuries reported, adding that a head count is underway.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police has confirmed that the Beetham Highway has been reopened, after traffic had been diverted earlier as officials attempted to extinguish the flames. 

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Works and Transport has announced a partial opening of the Priority Bus Route, on the westbound lane from Mt. Hope to Port of Spain through Abbatoir Road.
