Tuesday’s demonstrations were a second show of public outcry after three Morvant residents-Israel Clinton, Joel Jacob and Noel Diamond- were killed by Inter Agency Task Force and Guard and Emergency Branch officers at Juman Avenue on Saturday.

Greaves is the only confirmed police-involved fatality reported on Tuesday, however there are said to be two other people who were shot by the officers.

In an emergency press conference held Tuesday morning, Minister of National Security Stuart Young suggested that the fiery protests across the capital city had been orchestrated by “criminal elements” who had been compensated to “incite violence.

“Persons on the ground were contacted and paid to go out and create a disturbance,” Minister Young said.
