A 16 year old boy from Richplain, Diego Martin, is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate this morning, charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The teen was arrested during an Operation Strike Back exercise on Christmas Eve.

The exercise, was conducted between 9 am and 2 pm in the West End Station District.

Cops searched the boy, allegedly finding one Beretta pistol and nine rounds of 14 millimetre ammunition.
