BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump And Wife Melania Test Positive For COVID-19

By Newsroom

United States President Donald Trump and his First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the coronavirus.

The President confirmed the news in a tweet shortly before 1am on Friday.

Mr. Trump and his wife had both been tested Thursday night, after White House Top Aide Hope Hicks tested positive for the coronavirus on Thursday morning.

“She (Hope) did test positive, I just heard about this. She tested positive. She’s a hard worker. Lot of masks, she wears masks a lot but she tested positive. Then I just went out with a test. I’ll see — you know, because we spent a lot of time — and the first lady just went out with a test also. So whether we quarantine or whether we have it, I don’t know,” Trump said on Thursday, during a call-in appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

The US President’s positive test comes just one month shy of the November 3rd US Presidential election.

Mr. Trump has long been criticized for his haphazard handling of the pandemic, which many of his critics say has contributed to the US recording 7.3 million COVID-19 cases and 208,000 deaths.

According to Memorandum from President Trump’s physician (See below), “the President and First Lady are both well at this time” after testing positive for COVID-19.
