British PM discharged from hospital after spending three nights in ICU

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been discharged from the London hospital where he was being treated in intensive care for the new coronavirus. According to Johnson’s office, he left St. Thomas’ Hospital and will continue his recovery at Chequers, the prime minister’s country house.

They also said that he will not immediately return to work. Johnson spent three nights in the ICU. Johnson showered praises on the National Health Service who he said he owes his life to Johnson said he “can’t thank them enough.” Government figures later today are expected to show that the U.K. has surpassed 10,000 coronavirus-related deaths.
