Caught Tampering With ATM At First Citizen Bank Branches

Five men who were seen tampering with an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at First Citizen Bank (FCB) on Independence Square, Port of Spain have been arrested. They were actually found by the cops in Diego Martin after one  was  tampering with another FCB ATM Machine on the Diego Martin Main Road  while the others wee in a car. The five suspects are all from the Western Division. Police said that during a patrol in the Central Police Station District on Wednesday officers received information of men seen tampering with  the   Port of Spain FCB ATM . The officers said they made several checks at other ATMs and gathered information which led them to the Western Division in pursuit of the suspicious vehicle and its occupants. “Upon reaching FCB on the Diego Martin Main Road, the officers observed a vehicle parked on the roadway and a male with a hat and jersey concealing most of his face and tampering with an ATM machine. “The suspicious vehicle sped off. Assistance came from the Western Division Special Patrol which intercepted the said vehicle with four occupants along the Diego Martin Highway. “A search of the vehicle revealed a cash counting machine, card skimmer, blank card and a quantity of cash, “ the TTPS said.
