Three police officers have been arrested and charged for their alleged role in a burglary while on duty.

Constables Keron George, Hendron Moses and Juvon White were each hit with charges of Misbehaviour in Public Office and Robbery with Aggravation on Thursday, following directions from Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard SC.

It followed an investigation by officers of the Professional Standards Bureau, into a report that during early hours of May 13th, the trio forced their way into a family’s home in Arima, making off with TT$161,300 and US$6,500.

The three suspects were positively identified by the victims following an identification parade.

They are due to appear before an Arima Magistrate next Monday.
