Investigators are working to determine the identity of a man whose charred remains was discovered in a vehicle in St. Joseph on Monday night.

Police were alerted to a Nissan Sylphy being set on fire at around 10:30 last night, in the vicinity of the Farm Road Extension.

Fire officers were also on the scene and put out the blaze, when they made the gruesome discovery.

The body was located in the back seat of the vehicle.
