Children Escape Bullets As Gunmen Attack Mother, Grandmother

A cold-blooded gun attack which claimed the lives of a businesswoman and her adult daughter has left police investigators searching for clues as to  who might have wanted the pair dead.

Gunmen were unfazed by the presence of three young children, ages 8, 7 and one, as they shot and killed the children’s mother, Stephanie Khan and grandmother, Sandy Khan in a bold faced attack on Thursday night.

The chilling incident took place at Dynasty Trace North, Joyce Street, Carapichaima.

According to reports, two masked men ambushed the family as they were entering a vehicle outside their relative’s home.

The diver of the vehicle,  a Venezuelan national, was also shot but managed to receive only minor injuries.

He was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility to be treated. 

The children were taken into the custody of police following the incident.

Sandy Khan was the owner of the popular ABC Flower Shop at Jerningham Junction, Cunupia.
