CMO: Six New Delta Cases Confirmed, Tobago Records First Case Of Variant

Six new cases of the Delta Variant have been identified, including one in Tobago.

This was revealed by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasrom during this morning’s Covid-19 media briefing.

This is Tobago’s first confirmed case of the highly contagious variant.

The 5 cases in Trinidad are spread across the counties of St George West, St George Central, Victoria and St Andrew/St David.

Tobago’s now has 362 active Covid-19 cases, after reporting 11 new infections and 55 recoveries over the past 24 hours.  

Six patients remain in ICU.
