By Newsroom

Cops recovered a flat screen television and a laptop that was stolen from a woman in Pinto, Arima two days after it was stolen on Monday. But they also found a bullet-proof vest and a quantity of ammunition along with the stolen items when they raided the house during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Pinto district last night. No one was arrested because a man who lived at the house ran away when the police arrived. “Officers of the Northern Division Task Force, Area East and the Pinto Police Post conducted the exercise between 7:00pm and 10:00pm, on Wednesday. “The items were reported stolen by a female victim from the district on Monday 6th April 2020. “Officers also found one bullet-proof vest and 27 rounds of ammunition on the premises. “A warrant is expected to be issued for a man who resides at the house and who was seen fleeing the scene upon arrival of the officers,” The TTPS said in a News Release on Thursday.
