Trini, Nigerian Arrested As Cops Seize Over $200,000 Worth Of Cocaine

Two men were arrested and 145 grammes of cocaine seized in St Clair by officers of the Western Division on Friday.

Based on information received, officers proceeded to a building in the St. Clair area where two men were observed, standing together, with two metal circular objects at their feet.

The men, a 47-year-old Trinidadian, of Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas and a 28-year-old, Nigerian, residing at Longdenville, Chaguanas, were briefly interviewed and a check of the larger metal object revealed a white powdery substance resembling cocaine.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Four Roads Police Station where a detailed examination of the object revealed several packets containing
cocaine, encased in cavities of the large disc with a street value of TT$202,118.00.

Search warrants were executed at their homes, however nothing illegal was found. PC St. John is continuing enquiries.

The intelligence-led exercise included members of the Four Roads Criminal Investigations Department, Western Division Gang Intelligence Unit, Western Division Task Force and K-9 unit.
