Two men were arrested and 145 grammes of cocaine seized in St Clair by officers of the Western Division on Friday.
Based on information received, officers proceeded to a building in the St. Clair area where two men were observed, standing together, with two metal circular objects at their feet.
The men, a 47-year-old Trinidadian, of Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas and a 28-year-old, Nigerian, residing at Longdenville, Chaguanas, were briefly interviewed and a check of the larger metal object revealed a white powdery substance resembling cocaine.
Both men were arrested and taken to the Four Roads Police Station where a detailed examination of the object revealed several packets containing cocaine, encased in cavities of the large disc with a street value of TT$202,118.00.
Search warrants were executed at their homes, however nothing illegal was found. PC St. John is continuing enquiries.
The intelligence-led exercise included members of the Four Roads Criminal Investigations Department, Western Division Gang Intelligence Unit, Western Division Task Force and K-9 unit.
