Couple facing 963 fraud charges get $4 million bail

The couple who have been slapped with 963 fraud offenses after they allegedly swindled $7.4 million from an energy and marine services company have been granted $4 million bail.  

Gasparillo taxi-driver Brahim Rampersad, and his wife, Amrita Rampersad, were granted $2 million bail each and ordered to have separate securities. Carl Lee, who is also from Gasparillo was granted $300,000 bail. They reappeared before San Fernando Senior Magistrate Jo-Anne Connor today (Feb. 5th). Some of the charges they face are larceny, falsification of accounts and money laundering, between 2013 and 2016.
