COVID-19 :T&T’s Amended Immigration Rules

With the borders closed, until further notice, the Ministry of National Security has taken measures to  assure foreign nationals, students and others who may be in Trinidad and Tobago. These were announced by  National Security Minister Stuart Young on Monday afternoon:  
  • Permanent Residents and Citizenship Interviews have been suspended until further notice
  • Those who have entered the country and cannot leave will have their stay extended until June 22nd, 2020.
  • Those with Student Permits will get a three month extension.
  • No Visas will be issued until the borders are reopened.
  • Passport system will be temporarily restructured which will include looking at a drop off system.
