There are now 632 active cases of COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago, as the Ministry of Health revealed in its morning update (August 21) that 39 more people have tested positive for the virus, while 22 existing patients have recovered and been sent home.

The 22 persons were discharged from the following step-down facilities:

– Balandra – (7)

– Brooklyn, Sangre Grande – (1)

– Tacarigua – (6)

– UWI, Debe (8)

COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (142)

Two hundred and five (205) patients are en route/ being admitted to hospital.

Seventy-six (76) new patients will be processed for admission.
