COVID-19 UPDATE: Cases Remain At 123, Test Results Pending For 103 Returning Nationals

By Newsroom

T&T’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases remains at 123, according to the Health Ministry’s morning update.

At Monday’s virtual press briefing, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Roshan Parasram says test results for 103 nationals who returned from Jamaica (UWI students) and Venezuela  are pending and results should be made available by Tuesday.

Meanwhile, test results have returned for all 308 people on board the cruise ship vessel docked at the port of Port of Spain and the number of postive cases remains at six. Those six patients have since been transferred to the Caura Hospital for treatment.

All other cruise ship crew members remain quarantined on the vessel, and the Ministry says as such there is no risk of local transmission to Trinidad and Tobago.
