Drivers Given Grace Period For Expired Permits

By Newsroom

Drivers who need to renew their licenses can relax, as the Ministry of Works and Transport has announced a five-month moratorium.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry clarified that the grace period applies only to driver’s permits, taxi driver’s licenses, badges, certificates and other documents expiring between March 27th and July 31st.

Licensing Offices across the country remain closed until further notice, in line with government’s stay at home order.

The aforementioned permits will be deemed valid until August 31st in the first instance.
