ERHA Addresses Nurse’s Sexual Harassment Allegations

By Newsroom

Responding to videos circulating online in which a nurse makes a series of sexual assault allegations against senior officials at the Eastern Regional Health Authority, the RHA described the situation as “dangerous” and defamatory.

The videos of the nurse, dressed in her work uniform, have been widely shared on platforms including Facebook and Tik Tok.

In the clips, she alleged she had been victimized and short paid after rejecting sexual advances from superiors, claiming she was also told she would have her nursing license revoked.

She pleaded with “Ms Rowley” and politicians including the Attorney General, to intervene.

The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) is aware of videos circulating on social media posted by a former member of staff who is attempting to tarnish the image and reputation of the Authority and members of staff.

The ERHA views these publications and all re-publications as dangerous, harmful and defamatory in content and they are unconditionally and wholeheartedly rejected.

At this time our staff continue to go beyond the call of duty to provide quality healthcare for our clients in a very demanding environment, that has been further challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic. The well-being of staff is of high importance and the Authority has ensured that they are aware of the support mechanisms available to assist in maintaining their health. These include Wellness Centres, Nutritionist’s support, Consultant’s engagements, Employee Assistance Programme and Mental Health Programmes among others.

The ERHA continues to adhere to the Regulations that speak to the Code of Conduct, for Regional Health Authorities and is also guided by its Human Resources Policy.
