A prisoner who escaped from police custody on Tuesday, has been recaptured.

22 year old Isaac Lovell, of Five Rivers, Flood Gate, Arouca, had been detained one week ago, in connection with a robbery in the Cunupia district as well as a shootout in the La Horquetta District.

He was being detained at the Adult Surgical Ward 4 at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope, when he reportedly escaped.

He was recaptured in Chaguanas yesterday by Central Division officers and handed over to Northern Division Police where enquiries are continuing.
