The fallout between Farley Augustine and Watson Duke is reaching new heights, as attorneys representing the Chief Secretary are preparing a pre-action protocol letter to be sent to the PDP leader for accusations made against their client.

“The full video clipping of his (Duke’s) presentation on the 15th, along with a full transcript was done and the lawyers are preparing their documents,” Augustine said during a brief address on Monday. 

Asked whether the fallout with Duke will see him leaving the PDP, Mr. Augustine directed that question to the party’s Chairman, but stood firm in his role as Chief Secretary saying governance takes priority over party affiliation.

“When it comes to the operations of the Tobago House of Assembly, the operation of a political party has nothing to do with that. Separation of political party from matters of governance governance- it allows us in the truest sense to demonstrate to the country, that country comes before party,” the Chief Secretary said.
