Fifty-two-year-old RODNEY SATAR has been fined $4,000 by a Princes Town Magistrate after he pleaded guilty to the offence of Obtaining the Sum of $16,000 by False Pretence. According to the TTPS, a victim reported to police that between the period November 6th, 2021 and January 13th, 2022, they paid sums totalling $16,000 to a man, representing a down payment towards the purchase of a parcel of land valued at $80,0000 located at Cunupia. The victim later discovered the man was not in a position to sell the land and attempts to have the money refunded proved futile.
