Four men were arrested and a firearm and ammunition seized by officers of the St Joseph Police Station on Saturday.

Police officers conducted a road check exercise at Mt Dor Rd, Mt Lambert, St. John Rd when around 9:15 pm, whilst on patrol at Bassie Street, Spring Village, Valsayn, stopped and searched a gold Tiida in the vicinity of Russel’s Bar with four male occupants.

During the search, one .38 Special Smith and Wesson revolver with two live rounds of .38 special ammunition were found and seized.

The men from Tunapuna were arrested and taken to the St. Joseph Police Station and along with the firearm.
