Four weapons and a few hundred grammes of marijuana were seized by cops in Maloney and in Central Trinidad.

A 25-year-old man was arrested after cops found a Glock and 17 rounds of ammunition at an abandoned apartment building at Maloney Gardens on Thursday night.

A few hours earlier at an exercise in Cunupia, nine persons were arrested for shooting, robbery, housebreaking and larceny offences.  Three firearms- two Smith and Wesson revolvers and one Beretta pistol -were found along with 740  grammes of marijuana.

Officers of the Major Crime Unit and the Chaguanas Criminal Investigations Department conducted the exercise between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm, on Thursday 2nd January 2020.
