Food cards to be distributed to parents of children currently in the school feeding programme

Minister of Social Development and Family services Camille Robinson-Regis has announced that all MP’s have been notified that they are to receive 50 food cards to distribute to families of children, who are currently under the school feeding within their constituency. 

She also said that the value of card will be $510 . Each family will receive one card. She urged those who receive the card to hold onto it after the first month so that it can be regularly topped up. The cards will only be offered to citizens and permanent residents t this time. She stressed that it’s not a free for all and that persons who already own a food card will get a top up for 3 months.
