Shomari Hector, the former PNM Tobago Assemblyman was hospitalized on Sunday morning after being involved in a car crash in Bon Accord. 

According to reports, Mr. Hector suffered leg and chest injuries.

He is being treated at the Scarborough Hospital. 

In May 2020, Mr. Hector was elected Deputy Presiding Officer of the Tobago House of Assembly.

At the time, he also served asAssistant Secretary in the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation.
